No-one can quite recall who originally came up with the idea for this special day, but the first recipe for this delicious chocolate treat was published in the 1940s-50s. The first time families with children make cakes together, they often choose a recipe for chocolate pastry balls – and it has become tradition to make them on Chokladbollens dag (chocolate pastry ball day).
