It’s the perfect decoration for both Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Would you like to know how? Here are Majda’s best tips:
“Make your own royal icing. My best recipe is to quickly whip 1 egg white and 350 ml icing sugar together to make a nice, white icing. If you want to colour your icing, my tip is to buy concentrated pasta dye instead of food colouring, because food colouring makes the icing thin and watery.
For best results, use a piping bag to squeeze icing onto Gille’s large heart-shaped Ginger Snaps. Use a brush to paint powdered gold colour (the kind you can eat) onto your Ginger Snaps for some extra sparkle!
I made small ‘diamond’ decorations by filling silicone moulds with sugar paste.
